Are your dogs/puppies AKC registered purebred whippets?

Absolutely! All of my dogs and pups are AKC registered, purebred dogs.

How do I acquire one of your puppies?

The first thing to do is to make contact with me. Let's start a conversation. It all begins there. I have a process for acquiring a Finnster purebred that involves an application, an interview (in-person or zoom), a meet/greet with the puppy, nonrefundable deposit, a signed contract and payment. I would love to talk with you about a Finnster whippet.

Are you a puppy mill?

No, No, No and a thousand times NO! I am a small, ethical hobby breeder with a few litters a year. I have no inside or outside kennels. Instead, my dogs are considered family who live inside, sleep inside, and are raised in my home with love and affection. I love on them, spend time with them, train them, play with them, and care for them emotionally and physically. I breed out of love and passion for whippets and the joy they bring to their forever families.

Why did you choose to raise whippets?

After my rescue Labrador passed away I wanted another dog and began researching various breeds. With all of my research in hand, I chose whippets as the best breed for me. I love dogs in general, but whippets stood out for me due to their temperament, their size, their coat and brindle markings, their stunning physique, their elegant grace, etc. I purchased one, then another, and now I breed and show them. They are fast, fun, and so lovable. They are great snuggle buddies. I can't say enough good things about them and they have captured my heart.

Do whippets shed?

Yes, whippets shed, like most dogs, but they do not have the thick double coats that many dogs possess. When I owned my Golden and long-haired Labrador, I used to have West Texas sized hair balls blowing across the floor like tumbleweeds.  Whippets aren't that way al all. They have short, fine hair, keep themselves well groomed, and rarely need a bath.
